
Sarah McDowell
Mezzo-soprano Sarah McDowell is currently studying vocal performance with Molly Fillmore at the University of North Texas. She has preformed as the alto soloist in Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi’s Gloria. Ms. McDowell sings in the Collegium Singers baroque ensemble under the direction of Dr. Richard Sparks and preformed the role of Anna Hope in the University of North Texas’ production of The Mother of Us All. She was a member of the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy, and preformed at the Hult Center in Eugene, Oregon with the Oregon Bach Festival under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, Matthew Halls, and Anton Armstrong.
Ms. McDowell is a member of the international music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota and serves as a student ambassador for the UNT College of Music. Outside of performing, Ms. McDowell is a 200 hour registered yoga instructor and enjoys teaching as well as rock climbing.
