Jimmy Drancsak

Jimmy Drancsak is a violinist, violist, and fiddler living in New York City. He has performed internationally with various ensembles such as The English Concert, Les Arts Florissants, and Juilliard415, as well as a variety of North American orchestras. Growing up as a violinist and fiddler in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, Jimmy draws the majority of his musical inspiration from the various fiddle styles that first attracted him to music. Jimmy is the Co-Founder and Teaching Artist of the Juilliard Fiddle Club, a weekly traditional music session that teaches and performs folk music to Juilliard students and community members of Lincoln Center. He is also the Co-Founder of three North American Ensembles; New Amsterdam String Band, In Nomine Ensemble, and Arrow Quartet. When he is not performing, Jimmy enjoys cooking, exercise, and making any excuse to travel home to visit his family.
