Motoaki Kashino

Born in Kobe and raised in Hiroshima, Japan, Motoaki Kashino is an early music performer (sackbut) and a conductor. He most recently served as the Director of Orchestras at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, before relocating to Boston where he is currently pursuing Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Historical Performance, under the tutelage of Greg Ingles. In 2015, he is appearing with Trinity Baroque Orchestra and Chorus, Pegasus Early Music, NYS Baroque, and Les Vents Atlantiques, among others, in concerts throughout the US as well as in Mexico. His other artistic talents include(d) painting, and his artwork as a second grader was exhibited internationally. That talent, however, did not develop – and he still paints like a second grader.
