The Three Ladies
Laura Heimes, Nell Snaidas, sopranos; Hai-Ting Chinn, mezzo-soprano
James Bobb, harpsichord; Richard Kolb and Deborah Fox, lutes and baroque guitar

Centuries before the Three Tenors were The Three Ladies: a name for several ensembles of women singers in 17th century Italy famed for their remarkably virtuosic and passionate singing—the real divas of the day! Composers wrote music especially for them and created a dazzling body of work for women. We welcome back Rochester favorite Laura Heimes with her trio of fabulous singers. Music by Francesca Caccini (herself one of the Three Ladies), Barbara Strozzi, Luzzasco Luzzaschi, Claudio Monteverdi, Luigi Rossi, and others.

Friday and Saturday night concerts begin at 8:00; Sunday begins at 4:00.
Please join us for an informal and informative pre-concert talk
