Liza Malamut regularly appears as a sackbut specialist with the country’s premier early music groups.  Engagements have included performances with the Trinity Baroque Orchestra, Boston Baroque, The Boston Camerata, Mercury!, The Green Mountain Project, Dark Horse Consort, Piffaro the Renaissance Band, The Clarion Society, Early Music New York, and many others.  Liza is a founding member of The Weckmann Project and Grand Harmonie.  She is an alumnus of the Eastman School of music and Boston University, where she studied modern trombone with John Marcellus and Don Lucas, respectively.  She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Historical Trombone at Boston University, where she studies with Greg Ingles.
